A Torrefied Appalachian Red Spruce Guitar Top. ( Picea Rubens). These tops are graded for color, and grain orientation, as well as any defects than can be worked around with proper placement of shape template. Dimensions for each book matched piece is 9” x 23” x .200”, and will accommodate most if not all guitar shapes. Torrefied spruce guitar tops are acoustic soundboards baked at high temperatures (around 200°C–250°C) in an oxygen-free environment to simulate natural, vintage aging. This process removes moisture, oils, and resin, resulting in a lighter, stiffer, and more stable wood that produces a warmer, richer, and more resonant tone, similar to an older instrument. The Pictures represent the exact top you will receive.
